South with Scott

A tribute to Captain R.F. Scott and the members of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) by Julian Broke-Evans.

In December 2010 I was privileged to be able to travel to Antarctica and put up an installation of ice pipes to blow in the Antarctic wind. This is my unique and personal homage to the Heroic Age of Polar Exploration; a pilgrimage made in honour of my father and grandfather who was second-in-command of Scott's Terra Nova Expedition of 1910-1913.

An Antarctic Sound Art Installation by Julian Broke-Evans exhibited at Saint Paul's Cathedral, London 26 March to 4 April 2012.
